JOB SUMMARY

There is a vacancy at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The three Partner Trusts want to establish a single procurement department to ensure the long-term delivery of clinical and non-clinical services. The Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will offer procurement and supply chain services to Partner Trusts, with potential expansion to other bodies in the Integrated Care System.

As a Trust Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the receipt, distribution, and materials management services at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS FT locations, including Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole and District Hospital. You may be obligated to offer assistance and coverage for the other trusts as needed.

You will provide technical and professional assistance to the Trust’s supplies function on stock ordering and management principles, following agreed-upon policies and processes. You will manage workers and contractors to provide consistent and reliable materials management services across the Trust, including planning and organising workloads.

You will handle supply chain management tasks independently while adhering to regulations and procedures. You will also be able to escalate complaints as needed. Your responsibilities include advising users and budget holders on supply chain management rules and procedures, as well as managing stock for medium/high-value items.
You will oversee the performance of 17 supply chain management operatives and actively assist them in attaining their individual developmental objectives and goals.

The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest acute and community partnerships in the NHS, seeing well over one million patients each year and managing a budget of more than £1.3 billion.
Our Partnership, which consists of two Trusts – Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG) and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH), has high objectives and is dedicated to providing world-class hospital and community services to the 1.65 million people we serve.
We collectively employ roughly 20,000 people. For NLAG, our five primary hospital sites include Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Scunthorpe General Hospital, and Goole and District Hospital, whereas HUTH has Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.
As Teaching Hospitals affiliated with Hull York Medical School, we lead and contribute to research in a variety of fields, including biomedical research, primary care, palliative medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, vascular surgery, cancer surgery, and oncology.
We believe that by cultivating a diverse, inclusive, inventive, talented, and caring staff, we will be able to provide excellent care to our patients while also ensuring a bright future for our workers, Partnership, and community.

Please check the attached detailed job description for a complete list of the duties and responsibilities for this position. This position is the Supply Chain Manager for the NLAG sites and will require cross-site collaboration across the three locations.
