GE Aerospace is a prominent manufacturer of aircraft engines and components, working with the world’s leading aerospace firms on commercial, business jet, and military applications.

We are looking for an experienced Program/Project Manager to join the Military Portfolio team. You will be in charge of delivering a variety of product redesign projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business targets related to the projects.

This is a critical function in our company, and there is an exciting potential to develop a solid and long-term relationship with this essential customer. We are nearing the end of the lifetime, and product renewal is critical to our long-term success! In this role, you will promote a “one team” approach to customer satisfaction and lead a cross-functional team to deliver all contracted project deliverables, advocating for strong project governance on new product introduction while driving costs down to maintain or improve the business case for the future.

Job Description.

Essential Responsibilities

  • As a Program Manager in the Power Distribution and Controls business, the candidate will support the overall company and play an important role in developing long-term relationships with customers in order to establish additional business and partnership opportunities. Contribute to the company strategy, product, and technology plans.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Lead the project team and make sure that contracted commitments are properly supported.
  • Ensure that Toll Gate reviews are done to a high standard.
  • Support Project Bids from TG 0, managing both business and customer expectations.
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of the project(s), deliver all contract performance-related activities connected to the customer(s) and program(s).
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer, important suppliers, and internal business team.
  • Drive performance by meeting project milestones, delivering all associated goods on time, and serving as our customer’s point of contact. Remove impediments to execution.
  • Lead requested Production Readiness Assessments, ensuring that the larger cross-functional teams understand the accountability necessary for such assessments.
  • Ensure quick resolution of issues, keep the customer updated on project progress, and negotiate revisions, variations, and solutions to difficulties.
  • Strengthen the relationship with the Sustaining Engineering and Supply Chain team to resolve issues and work on improving product performance.
  • Responsible for financial and technical indicators pertaining to contracts, which will include managing the Level of Effort and corresponding NRE budgets.
  • Support the creation of financial plans such as S&OP, Growth Play Book (Budget), S2, and Operating Plan.
  • Drive safety and compliance in everything we do.
  • Manage the project(s) in accordance with the Platform Strategy.
  • Develop a long-term relationship with the customer by understanding the business structure, key players, decision makers, and customer strategy.
  • Help to define our market and product strategy through relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to product or program plans, technical roadmaps, risks, and suggestions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an authorised university/college and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in managing major delivery obligations to essential clients, ideally in an aviation equipment setting or similar highly regulated company sector.
  • Proven ability to handle substantial customer relationships, expectations, and contractual needs.
