Supported Living Care Worker for persons with mild to moderate learning difficulties as part of the Halow initiative.
Location: Our services are largely headquartered in Guildford and Cranleigh, but you may also be required to assist activities and venues throughout Surrey. Our support staff should have a full driver’s licence and access to a car, and they can claim mileage for work-related travel.
Hours: Full-time Work 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week, with an average of 2 sleep-ins. This position demands the ability to work on a rotational rota schedule Monday through Sunday spanning shift patterns that include early shifts, day shifts, late hours, sleep-ins, and some weekends.
Starting salary is £24,139 per year, with a sleep-in rate of £50 per night.
Annual leave: 30 days pro rata, including bank holidays.
Training: Fully paid training is provided, including the industry-recognized Care Certificate, as well as chances for further development such as Positive Behaviour Support and study for validated National Vocational Qualifications.

Our Supported Living Care Workers play a crucial role in promoting independence in persons aged 18+ through our renowned Supported Living programme.
You will be responsible for offering high-quality support to our young adults and assisting them in planning their daily lives while working towards their goals. This will include encouraging and supporting them with tasks at home such as household chores, meal planning, shopping, preparing, and cooking nutritious meals, as well as assisting them in planning and accessing their social life, activities, and engagements in the local community and beyond. No two days are alike, just like the incredible folks you’ll be supporting!
Resilience and adaptability are essential because this function requires working alone with a person or a small group, as well as as part of the larger Care team. Depending on who you are assisting, some personal care and medication administration may be required, and you will be well trained and supported in this area to ensure you are prepared.
