JOB SUMMARY
A Band 5 position for a Staff Nurse has arisen in the PACU at Hull Royal Infirmary.
We would like to welcome practitioners to apply for positions in this busy, fascinating, and expanding area. Experience in theatres and mentorship qualifications are desirable but not required.
We need highly driven, hardworking individuals to work as highly skilled members of a multidisciplinary team. Successful applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to join a proactive team. The capacity to adapt to change, engage in audits, and operate effectively as part of a well-established team is required.
The service now operates Monday through Sunday. Staff will be asked to work a variety of 24-hour shifts, seven days per week. A flexible attitude towards meeting the needs of the service is crucial.

Main responsibilities include:
Caring for post-operative patients recovering from anaesthesia.
This applies to both children and adults.
Attending to the patient’s post-operative needs
Basic Life Support
Medicine management
Airway Management
Pain management
Pre-operative organisation
