Supported Living Service on Reigate Road, Epsom KT17
£10.75-£11.50 per hour (Overtime rate: £11.25 to £12.00 per hour)
* Full-time, 48 hours per week (based on 12-hour shifts).

Ideal position for those wishing to get experience as a Psychological Well-Being Practitioner or Assistant Psychologist.

We focus in providing person-centered care for persons with forensic mental health backgrounds, challenging behaviour, learning challenges, and autism, allowing them to contribute meaningfully to their community. You will be accountable for providing exceptional care to the people we help. Our flagship supported living service on Reigate Road is an 8-minute walk from Ewell East train station and includes on-site parking. We are searching for Support Workers at £10.75-£11.50 per hour, with an increased overtime rate of £11.25 to £12.00 per hour.

 Requirements:

 

  • Experience working with people with mental health issues, autism, challenging behaviours, and learning disabilities in mental health facilities and inpatient settings.
  • People who have used restraints or would be comfortable being trained to use them.
  • Can operate alone with confidence and as part of a larger team.
  • Strong ideals and person-centered approach.
  • To meet the service’s needs, employees must be able to work shifts.
  • People who are enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and proactive.
  • Individuals who can go bicycling, fishing, swimming, and participate in physical exercise with the individual they will be helping
  • To deliver the best person-centered support, you must be enthusiastic and imaginative.

  • The ability to understand and show empathy for the folks you’re helping
  • Be passionate in helping adults with learning challenges and autism.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in forensic mental health, assisted living, or residential settings.
  • Can evidence an NVQ qualification in social care or a Care Certificate? Training can be supplied.
  • Have knowledge and awareness of diabetes or worked with individuals with diabetes. Training can be offered.
  • Have a valid driver’s licence.
  • Live within a 30-minute commute or drive to Epsom.
  • Have a driving licence.
