Senior Social Worker – Adult Social Care

Location: Various locations across Suffolk

Salary: £38,925 – £44,305 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Retention Payments:

£1,000 after 2 years of service

£1,500 after 3 years of service

£2,000 after 5 years of service

Hours: Full-time and part-time available

Contract: Permanent

Your Role as a Senior Social Worker

Senior Social Workers in Suffolk are experts in complex casework, offering guidance to colleagues while managing their own caseloads. You will:
✔ Support and mentor social workers, sharing your expertise in complex cases.
✔ Provide specialist advice and contribute to the development of best practice.
✔ Work collaboratively with partners, agencies, and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes.
✔ Lead on risk management, ensuring individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support.

What You Need to Succeed

We’re looking for experienced social workers who are passionate about strength-based approaches and person-centred care. You’ll need:
✔ A Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
✔ Completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
✔ At least two years of continued professional development and capability of practice in line with professional standards.
✔ A strong understanding of legislation, financial implications, and commissioned care packages.
✔ A full UK driving licence and access to transport (or the ability to meet mobility requirements in another way).
