The Role

The Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Anatomy Centre Administrator to join its professional services team.

The Human Anatomy Centre supports teaching for approximately 320 pre-clinical medical students each year, delivers courses in anatomy and neuroanatomy, and provides facilities for research projects and specialist training for medical professionals. This is a varied role in a busy teaching and research environment.

As part of a team of six, and reporting to the Human Anatomy Centre Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Centre. Your main responsibilities will include:

Providing administrative support for the body donation programme.

Assisting with the implementation, audit, and maintenance of Human Tissue Authority (HTA) standards.

Supporting day-to-day operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.

The successful candidate will bring:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond professionally to students, staff, and external professionals.

Strong organization and time management, with flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience handling sensitive or confidential data using databases.

A collaborative approach to working in a small, inclusive team.

Familiarity with medical terminology would be advantageous, though training will be provided. Directly related experience is not essential, and applicants from a wide range of backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information

This is a part-time role (14 hours per week), working Mondays and Fridays on-site in the Human Anatomy Centre office.
