About the Role

As a participant in our Graduate Programme, you will gain the skills to develop your strategic thinking, project management, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. You will undertake placements within your chosen profession, managing projects from day one. Depending on your specific role, you may be involved in acquiring or disposing of land, investing in infrastructure, or collaborating with partner organisations. You will have responsibility for your own projects and work with the support of a placement manager, a buddy, and access to coaches or mentors. By the end of the programme, we’ll help you transition into a role aligned with your career goals.

About the Geospatial Profession

In Homes England, our Geography profession provides critical geographical insights that contribute to better decision-making. You will work in our Geospatial team, using geographic data, tools, and analysis to guide decision-making, particularly in areas like regeneration and housing development. You will focus on developing geospatial capabilities, including spatial analysis, data modelling, and visualisation, while contributing to the agency’s objectives.

By the end of the programme, you will have gained significant experience with geospatial data management, analysis, and 3D geospatial technologies. You’ll work with talented geospatial professionals and develop a broad skill set to support your future career.

Person Specification

We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals who are passionate about shaping the future of housing and regeneration. You should be a problem solver, a strong relationship builder, and commercially minded. You will be driven by the desire to make a difference in the world of housing and regeneration.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

A degree (or equivalent relevant postgraduate qualification) in Geography, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), or Science GISci.

The right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme (please note, Homes England does not offer visa sponsorship).
