About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive team at a well-regarded primary school in Hailsham. This is a temporary, part-time role covering Thursday and Friday from September 2025 to January 2026, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing and inclusive early years setting where child-centred learning, creativity, and holistic development are central to the school’s ethos.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and development

Observe, assess, and record children’s progress to inform lesson planning and next steps

Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support children’s development

Foster positive behaviour and promote children’s emotional wellbeing

Contribute to the wider life of the school and support whole-school initiatives as needed

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Recent experience working with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) children

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Availability to work Thursdays and Fridays

A child-centred, creative, and nurturing teaching approach

Minimum Requirements

QTS or equivalent

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo a new check)

Successful completion of all vetting and referencing procedures
