A Role at the Heart of University Leadership

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive professional to join the Vice-Chancellor’s Office (VCO) as Executive Operations Support (EOS).

In this pivotal role, you will provide dedicated support to two senior VCO Executives, ensuring their priorities are delivered efficiently, professionally, and with discretion. Your contribution will directly support strategic decision-making and the smooth operation of the University’s senior leadership.

This is more than diary management — it is a position of trust, coordination, judgement, and influence within a fast-paced executive environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As Executive Operations Support, you will:

  • Manage complex diaries and coordinate high-level meetings
  • Provide strategic administrative support with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advise Executives on prioritisation and time management
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and documentation to support informed decision-making
  • Liaise confidently with internal colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Analyse and collate data to assist leadership discussions
  • Support wider EOS team responsibilities, including providing cover during absences
  • You will play a key role in maintaining smooth communication channels across the University’s leadership structure.

You will likely have:

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings and documentation
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in standard office software and digital tools

About the Vice-Chancellor’s Office (VCO)

The Vice-Chancellor’s Office supports the University’s most senior leaders, including:

  • The Vice-Chancellor
  • The Deputy Vice-Chancellor
  • Pro-Vice-Chancellors
  • The Chief Operating Officer

The VCO:

  • Provides day-to-day executive support
  • Coordinates leadership groups including ULF, ALF, and PSLT
  • Supports executive governance processes
  • Helps deliver the University’s strategic and operational objectives
  • The executive governance function operates alongside:
  • The University Council (corporate governance)
  • The Senate (academic governance)

Together, these governance structures ensure compliance with statutory obligations, regulatory requirements, and the University’s Charter and Statutes.

Eligibility & Sponsorship

This role may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under:

  • SOC Code: 4215 – Personal Assistants and other secretaries
  • Going rate: £33,400

Eligibility will depend on salary level, tradeable points, and individual visa circumstances, including whether existing Skilled Worker sponsorship began before 22 July 2025.

All work must be undertaken within the UK.
