Estates & Facilities Information and Compliance Officer
(Estates & Facilities Directorate)
Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused professional to join our Estates & Facilities team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex information, values accuracy, and wants to play a meaningful part in supporting the safe and effective operation of a major NHS estate.
About the Role
As a key member of the Estates & Facilities team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining a range of critical estates registers and compliance documentation. These records underpin contractual assurance, regulatory compliance, and operational clarity across both Trust-owned and PFI-managed assets.
You will work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure that information is accurate, current, and fully aligned with contractual, legislative, and NHS requirements.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Maintain and manage essential Estates & Facilities registers, including:
- PAM (Property Asset Management)
- ERIC (Estates Returns Information Collection)
- Unitary Charge documentation
- Equipment Responsibility Matrix
- Monitor and audit change-control processes, ensuring all updates are properly recorded and authorised
- Work closely with Procurement and MEMD teams to ensure clarity and accountability for all Estates & Facilities assets
- Support compliance with Schedule 13 of the PFI Project Agreement, ensuring responsibilities remain clear and contractually accurate
- Assist Senior Estates & Facilities Managers in reviewing, improving, and implementing service provision across the Trust and PFI estate
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that align services with:
- NHS standards
- Contractual obligations
- Industry best practice
- Your work will directly support patient safety, service continuity, and organisational assurance.
About You
You will be proactive, methodical, and comfortable working with detailed documentation in a regulated environment. You will enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in producing accurate, reliable information that others depend on.
You are likely to bring:
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Experience working with compliance, contracts, estates, facilities, or asset information (or transferable skills from a similar environment)
- Confidence working across teams and liaising with senior stakeholders
- A continuous-improvement mindset and attention to detail
