Are you a newly qualified or experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a role where your work genuinely matters?

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, reliable hospital environment by:

  • Maintaining, repairing and fault-finding across mechanical, electrical, building and medical plant equipment
  • Supporting Team Leaders and deputising when required

Acting as an Authorised or Competent Person in specialist areas such as:

  • Electrical safety
  • Legionella control
  • Medical gas pipeline systems
  • Ventilation systems

Responding to emergency and urgent incidents, including:

  • Loss of electrical supply to critical areas
  • Medical gas interruptions
  • Heating and hot water failures
  • Coordinating with approved contractors for breakdowns and specialist repairs
  • Taking part in the on-call rota to support out-of-hours emergencies
  • Delivering planned preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability
  • Supporting the training, motivation and development of the maintenance team and apprentices
  • Ensuring effective use of labour and materials to deliver value and efficiency

  • Has electrical, mechanical or building services experience (or relevant qualifications)
  • Is confident working in a busy, safety-critical environment
  • Can respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations
  • Enjoys teamwork and supporting the development of others
  • Is organised, reliable and committed to continuous improvement
  • Both newly qualified and experienced engineers are encouraged to apply.
