About the Role
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is expanding its Community CAMHS and Adult Eating Disorders Services and is seeking dedicated Medical Monitoring Phlebotomists to support patients with eating disorders across Nottinghamshire.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and specialist physical health monitoring closer to home. You will work alongside the Medical Monitoring Team and be supported by a wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing directly to patient safety and recovery.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will provide essential physical health monitoring for children, young people, and adults accessing community eating disorder services. Your work will help clinicians identify risk early and deliver appropriate care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing phlebotomy and 12-lead ECGs in line with Trust standards
- Running community and clinic-based monitoring sessions
- Recording physical observations such as blood pressure, pulse, height, and weight
- Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support complex patient needs
- Escalating concerns appropriately when a patient’s physical health deteriorates
- Treating patients with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times
- Working flexibly to meet service demands across community settings

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Training
- Training in phlebotomy
- Training in ECG recording
- Competence in undertaking physical observations
- Willingness to complete mandatory and role-specific training
Experience
- Recent experience in a caregiving or healthcare environment
- Previous experience performing phlebotomy
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, flexible, and well-organised
- Confidence working alone in community settings
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to service needs
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a health or care-related subject
- Safeguarding and Pre-Employment Checks
