The Role

As Director of Global Philanthropy, you will be a senior leader within DAE, shaping Oxford’s international fundraising strategy as the University prepares to launch its next multi-billion-pound campaign.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the University’s overseas fundraising strategy and activity.

Managing and supporting three international teams (New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo).

Managing your own portfolio of high-level donors and prospects, often in collaboration with the Chief Development and Alumni Engagement Officer and University senior leadership.

Representing Oxford externally, building and sustaining relationships with major philanthropic partners worldwide.

This is a high-profile role with significant influence on the University’s global fundraising success.

About You

You will bring:

Significant experience in major gift fundraising, with a proven track record of personally securing seven-figure donations in the UK and/or internationally.

Experience of working within a successful large-scale fundraising campaign.

Strong leadership skills with proven success managing staff and teams within complex organizations.

Excellent relationship-building abilities with academics, senior university leaders, administrators, and external partners.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

A degree or equivalent education.

A strong interest in higher education and global philanthropy.
