Job Description
GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Manager – Digital Operations to lead Digital Technology operations at its Caledonia MRO facility.
This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced IT and digital operations professional who can combine technical expertise, operational leadership, cybersecurity awareness, and business transformation capability within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
As the site’s Digital Technology Leader, you will oversee critical IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity operations, end-user services, and digital transformation initiatives that support day-to-day manufacturing and maintenance operations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will act as the primary Digital Technology leader for the Caledonia facility, working closely with operational leadership teams and global IT stakeholders to ensure stable, secure, and scalable digital services.
You will lead a multi-disciplinary technology team while driving operational improvements, infrastructure modernisation, and process optimisation initiatives that support business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Operations Leadership
- Lead and develop teams across IT infrastructure, networking, end-user support, and digital operations
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of critical business systems and applications
Oversee day-to-day digital operations within a 24/7 operational environment
Support the site leadership team by aligning digital strategy with operational objectives
Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
- Design, implement, and support scalable infrastructure solutions across the facility
Maintain strong cybersecurity practices and system integrity across all operational platforms
Manage software licensing, hardware lifecycle management, and enterprise IT assets
Ensure systems remain compliant with operational and security standards
Project Delivery & Process Improvement
- Lead infrastructure and digital transformation projects aligned with business priorities
Support budgeting activities and manage IT investment planning
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational documentation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies
Manage service delivery standards, SLAs, and change management processes
Team Development & Stakeholder Engagement
- Mentor, coach, and develop technical teams to support long-term capability growth
Foster a collaborative and high-performance working culture
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, leadership teams, and global Digital Technology functions
Communicate complex technical information clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates with a strong combination of technical leadership, operational management, and strategic thinking.
Essential Experience
- Experience leading IT or digital operations teams within complex operational environments
Strong understanding of infrastructure performance, scalability, and system availability
Experience supporting enterprise technology operations in 24/7 environments
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and IT governance practices
Experience managing budgets, projects, and operational priorities
Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Leadership & Communication
- Proven people management and coaching experience
Ability to influence across matrix organisations and cross-functional teams
Strong customer-focused approach to technology delivery and service management
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Education & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline
Lean Six Sigma knowledge or Green Belt certification would be advantageous
