About the role

The University of Glasgow is seeking a Creative Lab Technologist to join the Creative Impact Lab, an innovative new initiative within the School of Geographical & Earth Sciences. The Lab fosters collaboration between researchers, communities, and creative industries, supporting the development of creative methodologies, impact pipelines, and engaged practice research.

About the role:

The post holder will provide technical and practical support for both lab-based and field-based research. Working closely with the Human Geography and Earth Systems Science Research Groups, you will support research, knowledge exchange, and engagement projects, building strong relationships with Impact Champions across the School.

The role requires adaptability, as you will undertake both planned and responsive work, prioritizing effectively in line with the School’s service-focused ethos.

Key responsibilities:

Support creative methodologies and impact-driven research projects.

Deliver technical support for lab and field-based activities.

Collaborate with researchers, creative industries, and community partners.

Contribute to knowledge exchange and engagement strategies across the School.
