The Scientific, Research & Innovation group plays a key role in delivering public health impact through research and innovation. At our South Mimms campus, we provide biological reference materials, support the global harmonization of vaccines, medicines, and diagnostics, and independently batch release biological products. These activities are supported by a strong international research and development programme.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to join the Standards Lifecycle function within the Scientific, Research & Innovation group.

This team is responsible for the scientific delivery, manufacture, and global distribution of biological reference materials. The role will also provide contract support across all scientific teams at the South Mimms Science Campus.

As Contracts Officer, you will:

Draft, review, and negotiate research and business contracts.

Ensure contracts are accurate, complete, and aligned with organizational goals.

Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Provide professional advice and timely responses to contract-related enquiries.

About You

The successful candidate will bring:

Proven experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, ideally in a research, academic, or industry setting.

A professional business, legal, or paralegal qualification, or equivalent practical experience in contracts.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.

Ability to conduct thorough reviews to ensure contract accuracy and compliance.
