Job Description

About Us

The UCL Centre for Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry (CRC) is a leading multidisciplinary research hub focused on developing and translating new imaging agents for clinical use. The Centre integrates advanced chemistry with clinical medicine to drive innovation in precision diagnostics.

In collaboration with UCLH Endocrinology and Endocrine Surgery Departments, we deliver world-class, multidisciplinary care for patients with complex endocrine conditions such as Primary Aldosteronism, Phaeochromocytoma, and Paraganglioma. Our work combines biochemical testing, advanced imaging, and surgical planning to advance patient outcomes.

About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to join the IDEAL2 clinical trial team — a multicentre Phase 2 study investigating AldoView, a novel PET radiopharmaceutical designed to improve diagnostic accuracy in Primary Aldosteronism.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with the UCL CRC and UCLH Endocrinology teams to support the delivery of this translational study. You will engage closely with the Clinical Trials Unit and Participant Identification Centres (PIC sites), helping coordinate multicentre trial activities, participant assessments, and regulatory compliance.

This post offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge endocrine research, helping shape the future of adrenal imaging and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the IDEAL2 Phase 2 clinical trial, ensuring adherence to GCP and regulatory standards.

Conduct and oversee study visits, safety monitoring, and adverse event reporting.

Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and trial records.

Coordinate participant recruitment, informed consent, and follow-up activities.

Liaise with trial sponsors, regulatory authorities, and collaborating clinical sites.

Participate in investigator meetings and trial oversight committees.

Contribute to scientific publications and conference presentations.

Promote effective communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary research team.

About You

You are a motivated and detail-oriented clinician with experience in clinical research, ideally within endocrinology, nuclear medicine, or a related field. You understand the operational and regulatory aspects of conducting multicentre clinical trials and are comfortable working within structured study frameworks.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

Medical degree with GMC registration (or in progress, including sponsorship pathway if applicable).

Clinical experience in endocrinology, particularly primary aldosteronism or adrenal disorders.

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical trial regulations.

Excellent organisational, documentation, and communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across disciplines.

Desirable:

Experience in nuclear medicine, imaging studies, or translational research.

A track record of contributing to scientific papers or presentations.

This position is ideal for a clinician looking to expand their expertise in molecular imaging, translational science, and clinical trial delivery within a leading academic institution.
