About the Role
Do you enjoy organising, supporting teams, and ensuring smooth operations? DBTH is looking for a Clinic Preparation Clerk to join our Medical Records Department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring patient records are available and accurate, directly supporting safe and effective patient care.
This role provides the opportunity to liaise with multiple departments, hospitals, GP practices, and external partners, making a real impact on the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.

 Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patient casenotes are available at the point of care for outpatient clinics
- Pull, file, and merge medical records using Terminal Digit Filing and location-based filing systems
- Record all casenote movements accurately using iFIT
- Prepare and deliver casenotes according to departmental standards
- Tag, associate, and correct casenote volumes to maintain accurate records
- Assist in culling casenotes in line with the Retention Policy
- Liaise effectively with other departments, hospitals, GP practices, and external organisations to maintain accurate patient data

 Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- GCSE or equivalent in English
- Administrative experience, including filing, data input, and workload management
- Ability to handle large volumes of work and meet deadlines
- Manual handling awareness and adherence to Trust confidentiality policies
Desirable:
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths
- RSA Level 1 keyboard skills or equivalent
- Previous NHS or patient records experience
- Experience with Patient Administration Systems and filing systems
- Experience in a patient-focused environment
