About the Role
We are looking for a Casework Officer to join our Tenancy Management team. You will be responsible for investigating and managing breaches of tenancy license agreements in university-managed accommodation, helping to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive living environment for all residents.
This role requires balancing enforcement with education and support, ensuring students feel heard while upholding standards. You will also deputies for the Tenancy Enforcement Manager at interdepartmental meetings, representing Housing Services with professionalism.
Alongside casework, you will provide administrative and reception support across the wider Housing Services team, responding to housing enquiries by email, phone, and at the counter, and offering guidance to applicants, students, and residents.
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively with students and colleagues.
Confidence in problem-solving, decision-making, and managing sensitive or confidential issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong general IT skills.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
A professional, fair, and empathetic approach when dealing with tenancy and student welfare matters.
