Care & Support Worker Uk Sponsorship Available

Uk
January 24, 2025
$23 - $23 / year

Job Description

Please note: This role is open to UK-based individuals currently on a skilled worker or healthcare visa, seeking to transfer their sponsorship to another domiciliary care provider. You must already have local accommodation in the area of the vacancy, a full UK driving license (unless you’ve been in the UK for less than 12 months, in which case a valid license from your home country is acceptable), and have prior care experience with confidence in driving in the UK.

Candlelight Care is now offering limited sponsorship switches in the following areas: Glastonbury, Street, Wells, and Shepton Mallet in Somerset.

Are you currently on sponsorship with a domiciliary care provider but not getting the hours you need? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Working in Health and Social Care with Candlelight Care means no two days are the same. You’ll develop meaningful relationships with clients, understanding their needs and interests. Your duties will include providing emotional and practical support, assisting with personal care (such as washing, toileting, and dressing), helping with domestic tasks, and preparing meals—tailored to the unique needs of each client.

You will also assist with medication, mobility aids, and personal equipment, and will be responsible for reporting any significant changes in a client’s health or circumstances to the Registered Manager.

At Candlelight Care, we believe in empowering our clients to remain as independent as possible, while always acting in their best interests and ensuring their safety and well-being.

What we offer:

  • Guaranteed 37.5 hours per week, ensuring a consistent and reliable income.
  • Minimum annual salary of £23,200.
  • A mix of shifts (mornings/evenings), including every weekend, with two days off each week.
  • Fully paid induction and ongoing training throughout your sponsorship.
  • Uniform and a work mobile provided.
  • Blue Light Discount Card.
  • Annual Awards Ceremony.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, offering support and advice when needed.
  • Workplace Pension (subject to conditions).
  • Opportunity to study for a Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • A rewarding role, making a positive difference in clients’ lives every day.
  • Exceptional support from our management and senior team.

Qualifications/Eligibility:

We’re looking for someone with at least two years of care experience—whether in domiciliary care, a care home, or a hospital setting. This experience doesn’t need to be within the UK.

To be considered for this role, you must already be in the UK on sponsorship with another provider and be willing to transfer your sponsorship to us.

You will need a valid driver’s license, access to your own vehicle, and a willingness to relocate to the Wimborne area. If you’re already located in Wimborne or nearby, that would be ideal.

The perfect candidate will have strong people skills, be warm and empathetic, and have a genuine passion for making a positive impact on others’ lives.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, and you’d like to join a company with over 35 years of experience in caring for people in their homes—named a Top 20 Recommended Home Care Group in the UK for 2024 by homecare.co.uk—then don’t wait! Apply now!
