About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Management Systems (BMS) Engineer to join our cross-functional Engineering Division at Optimised. In this role, you will be responsible for performing optimisation works and carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive BMS maintenance for our clients. Your work will help ensure efficient, reliable, and sustainable building operations, with a strong focus on energy performance and system optimisation.
You’ll work on Trend, Cylon, and Tridium systems across a diverse client base, including major brands and commercial partners, delivering exceptional service and technical excellence at all times.
Key Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Optimisation
Carry out site-based and remote BMS system maintenance.
Diagnose and resolve BMS-related control issues, identifying root causes from software through to HVAC plant.
Deliver project works, including high-level integration and energy optimisation.
Support installation and commissioning activities across various client sites.
Develop and implement BMS and energy optimisation solutions to improve building performance.
Conduct fault finding, testing, and verification on Trend, Cylon, Tridium, and Delta systems.
Client and Team Collaboration
Liaise with internal management, clients, and third-party contractors to achieve project goals.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service quality and operational reliability.
Work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting and mentoring colleagues.
Contribute to business growth by sharing technical knowledge and participating in training and development initiatives.
Health & Safety and Compliance
Always adhere to Health & Safety standards and company protocols.
Complete and sign Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) before starting any site activity.
Ensure compliance with workplace regulations and maintain required certifications.
About You
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in the maintenance and optimisation of Building Management Systems.
Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/ONC or equivalent).
Trend certification or equivalent experience; experience with Tridium, Cylon, or Delta systems is desirable.
ECS/CSCS Gold Card holder.
Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
