About the Role

North Cumbria Integrated Care (NCIC) is seeking experienced, motivated Bank Diagnostic Radiographers to support the delivery of a comprehensive, round-the-clock radiology service. This role is ideal for UK-based radiographers who are confident in plain film imaging and theatre work and are looking for flexible bank opportunities within a supportive NHS environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services across a 24/7 service model, contributing directly to patient care in emergency, inpatient, and elective settings.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Bank Diagnostic Radiographer, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging across general radiography, theatres, dental imaging, fluoroscopy, angiography (including coronary procedures), and CT
  • Independently justify and perform examinations from a wide range of referral sources, including GPs and dental practitioners
  • Participate in the on-call rota to support emergency and inpatient imaging services
  • Work collaboratively within the Radiology team to ensure safe and effective patient pathways
  • Support learning and development by mentoring student radiographers, assistant practitioners, and newly qualified colleagues
  • Maintain professional standards in radiation protection, infection control, and patient safety at all times

Essential Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience in plain film, emergency, and fluoroscopic radiography
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Experience

  • CT and angiography experience
  • Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems
  • Interest in ongoing professional development and extended practice
  • Working With NCIC
