Henley Business School is inviting applications for an Associate Professor in International Business and Strategy to join its internationally renowned International Business & Strategy Department.

About the Department

The International Business & Strategy Department builds on more than 60 years of leadership in international business research and teaching. The Department is home to the John H. Dunning Centre for International Business, one of the world’s leading hubs for international business scholarship.

You will join a vibrant academic community that includes globally influential scholars and a dynamic cohort of emerging researchers, working collaboratively to advance the field of international business and strategy.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Associate Professor, you will:

  • Develop and sustain a high-quality, internationally visible research programme
  • Publish in leading academic journals and contribute to the Department’s global reputation
  • Teach and provide academic leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in international business and strategy
  • Supervise doctoral researchers and mentor early-career academics
  • Contribute to departmental and School leadership, helping shape strategy and future priorities
  • Secure and support externally funded research activity

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A PhD in Management, International Business, Economics, or a closely related discipline
  • A strong and sustained research record, with publications in high-quality academic journals
  • A research profile that complements and strengthens the Department and the Dunning Centre
  • Proven experience of teaching and academic leadership at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • A successful or emerging track record in securing external research funding
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to developing future scholars in the field
