About the Role
We are seeking Associate Lecturers to join our expanding team and deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across a range of business-related disciplines. You will contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate program by delivering lectures, tutorials, and supporting learning activities.
Your professional and/or academic background will support students’ learning through a combination of subject expertise and practical insight. You may also be involved in shaping assessments and contributing to curriculum design.

As part of the Business Management and People Division, you’ll join a vibrant academic community within Sheffield Business School, home to around 6,000 students and 220 staff.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring a balance of academic experience and real-world industry knowledge to the classroom.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Experience teaching in higher education or delivering professional training
Up-to-date knowledge of your subject area from either academic or industry experience
A passion for supporting student development and enhancing learning
Excellent communication and organisation skills
A commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching practices

As an Associate Lecturer, you’ll be enrolled in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) — one of the UK’s most generous defined-benefit schemes.
Annual pension accrual: 1/57th of your salary
Employer contribution: ~29% of your salary
Example: On a salary of £40,000, you would earn a pension of £702 per year, and the University would contribute over £11,400 annually
If you’re currently a member of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), you may opt to remain in it.
