About the Role
The School of Psychology at the University of Sussex is seeking to appoint a fixed-term faculty member (education and scholarship-focused) with expertise in clinical psychology and mental health. This post will cover maternity leave and includes teaching and assessment responsibilities across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
Convening, teaching, and assessing two Level 7 (Postgraduate) modules: Child Clinical Psychology and Systematic Literature Review Dissertation.
Convening, teaching, and contributing to assessment for a Level 5 (Undergraduate) module: Clinical Psychology and Mental Health.
Supervising MSc dissertations on the Foundations of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health programme.
Providing academic support, assessment, and feedback to students.
Teaching materials from previous years will be available for use and adaptation.
About You
This role is well suited to candidates who have recently completed, or are close to completing, a PhD in psychology or a related field and are looking to develop their career in higher education.
You should have:
Subject expertise in clinical psychology and mental health.
Experience in university-level teaching and assessment.
Strong communication, organizational, and student-support skills.
You will join the Clinical Psychology subject group, with access to mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities.
