About the Role

The School of Psychology at the University of Sussex invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Assistant Professor (Education & Scholarship Pathway) with expertise in clinical psychology and mental health.

This role focuses on teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specifically:

Level 7 modules: Child Clinical Psychology and Systematic Literature Review Dissertation.

Level 5 module: Clinical Psychology and Mental Health (selected topics, including convening and assessment).

You will deliver teaching, oversee assessments and feedback, and provide academic support for students. The role also includes supervising MSc dissertation projects on the Foundations of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health programme. Previous course materials will be available to adapt for teaching.

About You

Have recently completed, or are close to completing, a PhD in clinical psychology, mental health, or a related field.
