About the Role

We are seeking a Lead System Certification Engineer to oversee certification planning and regulatory compliance activities for assigned aviation systems projects and products. This role involves working closely with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to ensure full certification readiness and compliance with international standards.

You’ll be supported by a network of experienced engineers and will benefit from extensive on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to develop deep expertise within this specialist field.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of product certification strategies and define certification bases.

Manage compliance planning and identify appropriate means of compliance.

Contribute to the creation of integrated project and certification plans.

Review project and product development artefacts for regulatory alignment.

Conduct pre-assessment certification audits for internal projects and external suppliers.

Audit product artefacts and verification activities to ensure compliance with certification requirements.

Support customer and regulatory authority audits, including preparation and follow-up actions.

Collaborate with Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) to resolve audit findings and observations.

Participate in industry working groups and represent GE Aerospace in regulatory discussions.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Hands-on experience with airborne systems design, development, or certification within an ARP4754A/B environment.

Understanding of regulatory compliance processes related to system certification.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Effective leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Collaborative and proactive working style.

Security Clearance

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which must be obtained and maintained.
If clearance cannot be achieved, employment may be withdrawn for national security reasons.
