- Act autonomously in the assessment and management of patients, utilising advanced clinical knowledge to guide decision-making and care planning.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to fellow healthcare professionals, initiating treatment protocols and evidence-based interventions for complex cases.
- Support patients and families with education, clinical guidance, and emotional support tailored to individual diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical practices and participate in audits to evaluate and improve care delivery.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships across regional and national networks, including tertiary centres in Leeds and Sheffield and the wider Surgery in Children ODN.
- Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries to ensure continuity and quality of care.
