About the Role
Are you experienced in a chemistry lab or converting environment? Do you have a background in delivering high-quality coatings or battery components—ideally within materials or battery cell manufacturing?
WMG at the University of Warwick is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to support cutting-edge battery research in our Energy Innovation Centre (EIC). You’ll be part of a pioneering £13 million Battery Materials Scale-Up Pilot Line and contribute to the Advanced Materials Battery Industrialisation Centre (AMBIC), a collaboration between WMG and CPI.
In this role, you’ll be providing vital technical support to internal and external partners, working across multiple research and industrial projects. You’ll need hands-on experience in an engineering or materials science context and a proactive, safety-conscious approach.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates with:
Demonstrable experience in chemistry laboratories or converting/manufacturing environments
A background in coatings or battery component production
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A commitment to safe working practices and high-quality results
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
