We are looking for experienced Biology Teachers who are open to full-time, part-time, and/or sessional positions.
We have an amazing opportunity for a talented, vibrant, and dedicated A Level Biology teacher to join Loughborough Sixth Form College. The College is expanding, and application numbers for sixth form are at an all-time high. We are consequently searching for an excellent individual to join our unique educational setting.
You will provide inspirational and effective teaching, learning, and evaluation to ensure that all students succeed by delivering high-quality and challenging learning opportunities. Progress will be tracked to ensure that aspirational target grades are met or surpassed, with prompt and effective interventions in place to address any underperformance.
The successful individual will be responsible for teaching A Level Biology to Year 12 and Year 13 students and will be expected to contribute significantly to the area’s outcomes. You should have previous experience delivering the AQA Biology specification. We especially welcome proposals from instructors with an interest in environmental science.
A suitable degree is required, and applicants should have substantial teaching experience and, preferably, a teaching qualification. You will also have good interpersonal and organisational abilities, as well as the ability to work effectively in both big groups and on your own.
The Sixth Form is a priority department at Loughborough College, and we are looking for applicants who will work to expand on good achievements in this area while also embracing interesting and creative forms of delivery, therefore you must be comfortable with digital technology and remote learning.
The College aims to attract, develop, and retain the best employees by providing a motivating and inclusive environment where talent is really appreciated. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, believing that diversity is critical to our company’s success.
We are happy to have received the Investor in Diversity award. We aggressively promote applications from people who are currently underrepresented, and we use positive action under the Equality Act. We welcome everyone to consider joining us on this trip.
Along with our commitment to your professional and personal development, we also provide a robust benefits package that includes:

On-site parking.
One campus facility.
Access to Healthcare Scheme
Reduced nursery fees.
Up to 44 days of yearly leave every year.
Additional annual leave is available.
Benefits include generous maternity and paternity pay, excellent CPD opportunities, and inclusive development resources.
Wellbeing hours
Opportunities for volunteering in the local community and charities
We are and have always been committed to providing our students and employees with an exceptional and unparalleled range of modern facilities and resources.
We welcome and look forward to receiving applications from both experienced teachers and those who are new to teaching but have the desire and ambition to achieve.
Overseas candidates seeking to apply who require sponsorship can assess their chances of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship for the position by comparing their circumstances to the criteria stated on the Government website.
