Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an eager and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Ilkeston Community Hospital in Erewash!

Previous experience working in health and social care is needed.

We are willing to explore offering this employment as a band 4 Nursing Associate position based on your experience and credentials. We would make that choice after conducting an interview and reviewing your application, as well as providing any necessary evidence.

As a clinical employee, it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values align with those outlined in the DCHS Way.

A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) is necessary, as is an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), as well as exceptional communication skills.

It is critical to have access to and use public transport in the Erewash community. You will be part of a larger integrated team that provides comprehensive care to patients in their own homes and care facilities.

This position will involve working as part of a community nursing team, visiting patients in their own homes. Successful applicants will:

Assess, administer, and evaluate individualised patient care in the most efficient and clinically successful manner while respecting the patient’s privacy and dignity.

Provide high-quality care while actively assisting the District Nurse in the administration of the health care environment.

Work closely with the Integrated Community Teams.

As part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire, we aim to deliver community health services to over one million patients in Derbyshire and Derby.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff members who care for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health facilities, as well as clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes, and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and through virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response, we spearheaded the establishment of public vaccination sites in partnership with partners in health and social care.

As an employer and sponsor licence holder, we must ensure that we meet the sponsorship conditions stipulated by UK Visas and Immigration in order to sponsor overseas people under the Skilled Worker route.

After carefully analysing this role, we do not believe it fits the sponsorship requirements. For more information on the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker visa, please visit the following link to the gov.uk website: Overview: GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).
