About the Role
Carmarthenshire County Council is expanding its in-house property maintenance service and is looking for two skilled Maintenance Technicians with carpentry experience to join the team.
The successful candidates will help maintain and improve the Council’s non-housing properties. This is a practical, customer-focused position suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and approaches maintenance work with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
The maintenance teams are based at Trostre, Llanelli, and Parc Myrddin, Carmarthen.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent practical experience in a relevant area. Suitable backgrounds may include construction, engineering, facilities management, or another closely related discipline.
You should be comfortable working as part of a maintenance team while also being able to manage tasks responsibly and provide a professional service to customers.
A basic conversational knowledge of Welsh is also required. The role is assessed at Welsh Language Level 2 (verbal), and reasonable support may be available to help successful candidates reach the required standard.
