Job Description
GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join its aerospace engineering and maintenance team.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated aerospace environment, supporting the repair, overhaul, and modification of electronic avionics assemblies and printed circuit boards used across both civil and military aviation platforms.

About the Role
As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing electronic assemblies to component level, and carrying out testing activities using specialised equipment and technical documentation.
You will work closely with engineering and quality teams to support investigations, maintain product traceability, and ensure all repair processes meet aerospace regulatory and operational requirements.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on electronics repair experience who enjoy technical problem-solving within precision engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
Electronic Repair & Testing
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electronic avionics assemblies and printed circuit boards
Perform component-level troubleshooting using manual and automated testing equipment
Support overhaul and modification activities for aerospace electronic systems
Conduct testing procedures to verify functionality and compliance
Technical Documentation & Compliance
- Read and interpret complex analogue and digital circuit diagrams
Follow detailed engineering manuals, technical drawings, and repair instructions
Complete all required documentation accurately to maintain full traceability and regulatory compliance
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with aerospace quality standards and approved procedures
Engineering & Operational Support
- Assist engineering and quality teams with investigations and technical projects when required
Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and operational accuracy
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the repair and maintenance environment
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience diagnosing and repairing electronic components to component level
Experience using electronic testing equipment within repair or manufacturing environments
The ability to interpret technical manuals, circuit diagrams, and engineering drawings
Good computer literacy and familiarity with digital systems
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical work
Qualifications
ONC qualification, completed apprenticeship, or equivalent technical experience in electronics or engineering
Desirable Experience
- Part 145 aviation maintenance experience
Experience within aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated industries
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
