At GE Aerospace Careers innovation meets precision engineering. Dowty, part of GE Aerospace, is expanding its digital and analytics capability and is seeking an experienced Digital Technology – Data & Analytics Leader to drive data transformation across manufacturing and operational environments.

This is a senior-level leadership opportunity for a data professional who combines strong technical expertise with people management and strategic thinking. Based at the advanced manufacturing facility in Brockworth, you will lead analytics initiatives that support high-performance carbon fibre propulsion systems used within the aerospace sector.

About the Role

As the Data & Analytics Leader, you will take ownership of Dowty’s analytics strategy and oversee the delivery of data-driven solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and operational decision-making across the business.

You will manage a growing analytics team while collaborating closely with engineering, IT, governance, and shared data science functions to implement scalable and intelligent business solutions.

This position offers significant autonomy, leadership influence, and the opportunity to shape the future of analytics within a globally recognised aerospace organisation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of Dowty’s Data & Analytics strategy across multiple business areas
    Manage and mentor a team of analytics professionals, fostering collaboration and technical growth
    Build and maintain enterprise-level data models, dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions
    Use analytics and large-scale datasets to solve operational and commercial business challenges
    Work extensively with SQL and PL-SQL technologies to support reporting and decision-making
    Improve data quality, governance, ownership, and overall data maturity across the organisation
    Partner with Data Science teams to support the integration of AI-driven capabilities into daily operations
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives using analytics to enhance manufacturing and operational performance
    Lead end-to-end analytics project delivery, including discovery, prioritisation, implementation, testing, and operational rollout
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, IT, Product Management, GRC, and Software Centres of Excellence
    Present project updates, strategic insights, and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders
    Encourage adoption and engagement with analytics tools and reporting platforms across the business

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience leading analytics or business intelligence functions within a complex organisation
    Strong technical expertise in SQL and PL-SQL, including large dataset management and analytics
    Experience developing data models, dashboards, and visual reporting solutions
    A strong understanding of data strategy, governance, and data warehousing concepts
    Experience identifying business opportunities through data analysis and transforming them into actionable projects
    Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing technical teams
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    The ability to work independently while delivering high-impact analytics initiatives
