Role Overview
As an EMEA Nonprofit Account Executive, you will lead commercial growth by securing partnerships with nonprofit organisations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will help these organisations adopt AI technologies to enhance programme delivery, fundraising, research, and operational efficiency.
The role requires strong awareness of regulatory frameworks, including UK and EU data protection laws such as GDPR and the ability to operate effectively across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business and manage the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to deal closure
Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to EMEA market dynamics and compliance requirements
Navigate complex procurement and governance processesÂ
Build relationships with senior stakeholders including executives, trustees, and technical teams
Act as a subject-matter expert on nonprofit sector trends and regulatory environments
Collaborate with global teams to adapt sales approaches across regions
Ensure all activities comply with UK GDPR and international data protection laws
Address client concerns regarding AI ethics, privacy, and data sovereignty
Essential Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in sales across EMEA markets, particularly Portuguese-speaking regions
Proven success managing complex, multi-country sales cycles
Experience handling enterprise-level deals and procurement frameworks
Strong understanding of compliance and data protection requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Fluency in English and Portuguese (required)
Ability to work independently across time zones
Interest in AI, ethics, and social impact
Desirable Experience
- Background working with NGOs, charities, or international development organisations
Knowledge of UK charity governance and setupÂ
Understanding of public or grant funding mechanisms
Familiarity with nonprofit CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, Blackbaud)
Experience engaging with major INGOs or UK-based charities
Awareness of employment frameworks and contractor status
Role Logistics
- Location: London preferred; remote UK/EU considered
Travel: Up to 40% across EMEA; periodic travel to the US
Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 25% office presence)
Visa Sponsorship: Available where possibleÂ
Salary
- £195,000 – £280,000 OTE (On-Target Earnings)
Includes base salary and performance-based commission.
