Medivet Alder 24-Hour Hospital is a well-established small animal facility in Liverpool, offering round-the-clock care and a diverse caseload. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical tools, allowing the team to manage both routine and more complex cases effectively.

The role

This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys a mix of orthopaedic and general surgical work. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality care while continuing to develop your clinical expertise.

Working pattern:

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
    Spread across 4 days
    What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing both orthopaedic and general surgical procedures
    Managing cases from initial consultation through to recovery
    Creating tailored treatment plans based on patient needs
    Ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
    Working closely with a skilled, multidisciplinary team
    Supporting and sharing knowledge with colleagues

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you:

  • Hold MRCVS qualification
    Have experience or a strong interest in orthopaedic and general surgery
    Are confident in clinical decision-making and case management
    Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
    Are committed to continuous learning and development
