Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised Resourcing Advisor to join the People & Workforce team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring an efficient and positive experience for both hiring managers and candidates.
You will play a key role in supporting workforce growth by delivering high-quality recruitment services aligned with NHS standards and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment process from vacancy approval to onboarding
Collaborate with hiring managers and clinical leads to deliver efficient recruitment solutions
Advertise vacancies and support shortlisting, interviews, and offer processes
Ensure recruitment systems (Trac, ESR, NHS Jobs) are accurate and up to date
Pre-Employment Checks & Compliance
Conduct and monitor pre-employment checks including DBS, references, and occupational health
Verify right to work in line with UK immigration rules
Process Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) where applicable
 Relevant guidance:
- Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory
Act as a key contact for recruitment queries from candidates and managers
Provide advice on NHS terms and conditions (Agenda for Change, Medical & Dental)
Support and train colleagues on recruitment systems and procedures
Promote best practices in equality, diversity, and inclusion

Process Improvement & Reporting
Monitor recruitment KPIs such as time-to-hire and candidate experience
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
Produce recruitment reports and contribute to workforce planning
Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with GDPR
 Data protection guidance:
Payroll & HR Support
Ensure timely and accurate processing of new starter payroll information
Resolve complex payroll queries in line with NHS pay structures
Liaise with stakeholders on salary, pay points, and payment discrepancies
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
Minimum 12 months’ experience in end-to-end recruitment administration
Experience using HR systems (e.g., ESR, DBS, NHS Jobs)
Knowledge of:
- GDPR in recruitment
Equality, diversity, and inclusion principles
UK visa and sponsorship processes
Strong communication and organisational skills
Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Desirable
- Experience in NHS or medical recruitment
Knowledge of junior doctor rotations
CIPD qualification or equivalent experience
Project management experience
