 Your Role in Practice
As an Out-of-Hours Veterinary Surgeon, you will:
- Provide emergency and critical care to small animals
Work independently during on-call shifts with confidence
Make sound clinical decisions in high-pressure situations
Support local practices and pet owners with urgent cases
Deliver compassionate, client-focused care at all times
You can choose to work from home if you’re nearby, or stay in comfortable provided accommodation during your working week.
 A Truly Flexible Rota
This role is built for balance:
Standard Pattern:
1 week working, followed by 3 weeks off
Typical On-Call Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00pm – 8:00am
Friday 6:00pm – Monday 8:00am
(Saturday mornings are largely covered by the practice)
Prefer something different? A 1 week on / 1 week off option can also be discussed.
