Our independently owned small animal clinic in Cardiff combines modern facilities with a warm, team-focused culture. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who wants to grow professionally while working in a positive and collaborative environment.

What the Role Looks Like
This is a full-time position designed to give you both clinical variety and a strong work-life balance.
- 40 hours per week across 4 days
1 in 6 weekends
No night shifts
Dedicated out-of-hours team in place
You’ll be involved in a mix of consultations, surgery, and case management, all while working alongside a friendly and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Deliver first-opinion consultations for small animals
Perform routine and more complex surgical procedures
Manage ongoing medical cases
Handle emergency presentations with support when needed
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues in a supportive setting
Share knowledge and contribute to a positive team culture
Engage in clinical discussions and continuous learning
Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with an MRCVS-accredited degree
Registered (or eligible to register) with the RCVS
Confident in general small animal practice
Open to developing emergency and surgical skills further
Willing to relocate to Cardiff if currently based elsewhere
A team-oriented mindset with a positive, approachable attitude
What You’ll Receive
- Competitive salary: £45,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)
