Job Description
About the Opportunity
We are looking for enthusiastic, forward-thinking Radiographers to join our expanding CT service, supporting the development of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) across Hull.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern, high-performing CT service delivering care across a wide range of clinical specialities. Posts are available at Band 5 or Band 6, depending on experience, with clear development and progression opportunities.
You’ll be joining a service that values innovation, flexibility, and teamwork, with access to state-of-the-art imaging technology and strong support for professional development.
The CT Service
The Hull Community Diagnostic Hub, located in Hull city centre, is equipped with two Canon Serve SP CT scanners, utilising the latest Instinx interface. Across the Trust, the CT service includes five additional scanners, providing exposure to a broad and varied workload.
Emergency management of contrast reactions at the CDC is Radiographer-led, with full ILS training provided. Radiographers working within the CDC are trained to independently administer contrast media without on-site medical supervision.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the CT team, you will:
- Deliver high-quality CT imaging across a wide range of specialities including neuro, body, orthopaedics, vascular, and research imaging
- Work flexibly across all Trust sites, including Hull Royal Infirmary, Castle Hill Hospital, and the CDC
- Contribute to a 7-day service, including out-of-hours, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
- Safely administer IV contrast media in line with protocols and IR(ME)R regulations
- Participate in on-call and extended hours rotas as required
- Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and image quality
- Support service development and innovation within CT imaging
Education, Training & Development
- We are committed to supporting your professional growth. The department actively encourages CPD, postgraduate study, and role development.
- Access to regular in-house education sessions
- Support for postgraduate CT qualifications
- Opportunity to progress from Band 5 to Band 6 through the Trust’s Radiographer progression framework
- Exposure to reporting roles, including CT Colonography (CTC)
