About the Ward

Eden Ward provides post-operative care for day and overnight patients in gynaecology and urology. It also manages a 20-bed inpatient unit caring for major surgical procedures, emergencies, and some medical patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of Eden Ward, your duties will include:

  • Delivering safe and compassionate nursing care to elective and emergency gynaecology and urology patients
  • Monitoring and assessing patients’ post-operative recovery
  • Supporting multi-professional team working and contributing ideas for service improvements
  • Maintaining accurate patient records in line with Trust and statutory requirements
  • Participating in teaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision for students and new staff
  • Ensuring adherence to all infection control, safety, and professional standards
  • This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will care for patients with varying levels of acuity and complexity.

To work in the NHS, all staff must successfully complete:

  • Professional registration checks (Nursing & Midwifery Council for nurses)
  • Employment history and references
  • Occupational Health clearance
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
