What You Will Be Doing
Your time will be split between ward-based clinical work and our busy hospital dispensary:
On the Wards (Medicines Management):
- Â Conducting accurate drug histories and medication reconciliations.
- Â Assessing Patients’ Own Drugs (PODs) and managing supplies.
- Â Counseling patients on their medications to ensure safe discharge.
- Â Collaborating with doctors, nurses, and pharmacists to resolve medication queries.
In the Dispensary: - Â Accurately labeling and dispensing medications for in-patients and out-patients using the CMM system.
- Â Performing final accuracy checks (once ACPT qualified).
- Â Managing controlled drugs and ensuring the precise recording of batch numbers and expiry dates.
