About the Opportunity
An established and forward-thinking building services organisation is seeking an experienced M&E Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning operations across complex construction projects in Oxford and surrounding regions.
This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys taking ownership, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring mechanical and electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Reporting directly to the Lead Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating all Mechanical & Electrical commissioning activities across assigned projects
- Managing specialist subcontractors and ensuring commissioning programmes are delivered on time
- Monitoring installation progress and commissioning readiness on site
- Reviewing, updating, and implementing commissioning procedures and documentation
- Producing clear progress reports and attending technical and client meetings
- Acting as a professional point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Coordinating with third-party utility providers and statutory bodies
- Overseeing water treatment and system compliance in line with project specifications
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships across teams, clients, and supply chains
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or industry-recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Building Services
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Commissioning Manager role
- Proven background in commissioning domestic and commercial M&E systems
- Strong understanding of complex building systems and sequencing
- Demonstrated project management capability, including programme control and reporting
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to meet deadlines and company objectives
- Full UK driving licence (support provided for overseas licence conversion)
Desirable
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
Salary & Benefits Package
- Competitive salary of £70,000 – £80,000 per year
