The Opportunity
A respected UK Building Services and Engineering organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Commissioning Manager to support complex construction and infrastructure projects across multiple sectors.

Your Role
As the M&E Commissioning Manager, you will take ownership of commissioning activities across projects, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. Reporting to the Lead Commissioning Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all day-to-day mechanical and electrical commissioning operations
- Coordinating and supervising specialist subcontractors
- Monitoring installation progress and commissioning readiness on site
- Attending and contributing to technical and client-facing meetings
- Producing accurate progress updates and technical reports
- Reviewing, updating, and implementing commissioning procedures and documentation
- Liaising with third-party utility providers and statutory authorities
- Overseeing water treatment processes in line with project requirements
- Leading teams effectively while maintaining strong professional relationships
Working Pattern
- Full-time, site-based role
- On-site attendance required in Oxford and associated project locations
Salary & Benefits Package
- Competitive salary of £70,000 – £80,000 per year

Essential Requirements
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- A recognised degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or installation
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Commissioning Manager role
- Proven experience commissioning domestic and commercial M&E systems
- Strong project management and planning capabilities
- Ability to understand complex systems and allocate appropriate resources
- Experience managing multiple deliverables and deadlines
- A results-driven mindset aligned with company values and policies
- A valid UK driving licence (support provided for international licence conversion)
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
