About the Opportunity
A well-established automotive employer in Essex, UK is seeking an experienced Master Automotive Technician to join their professional workshop team. This position is ideal for a highly qualified technician who takes pride in technical excellence, problem-solving, and mentoring others.
For suitable overseas applicants, UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available, with additional relocation support offered where required.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Master Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining workshop standards and vehicle performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out advanced diagnostics across petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles
- Identifying faults efficiently and implementing effective repair solutions
- Conducting inspections and performance testing on vehicle systems and components
- Completing repair documentation accurately and in line with industry standards
- Referring to manufacturer guidelines and professional technical resources
- Supporting and mentoring junior technicians within the workshop
- Ensuring strict compliance with UK health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
- Overtime may be available depending on operational requirements
Salary & Benefits
- £39,000 annual salary
- 28 days paid holiday (including statutory leave)

What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in an automotive technician role
- A recognised Master Technician qualification (e.g. IMI Level 4 or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a main dealership or major automotive brand
- Strong diagnostic knowledge across modern engine technologies
- Leadership ability and confidence mentoring less-experienced colleagues
- A valid UK driving licence or international driving permit
- Applicants from outside the UK must meet the eligibility criteria under the UK Skilled Worker route.
