Medivet Sherwood is welcoming a Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established practice that has supported local pets and their owners for more than 45 years. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a stable, experienced team within a modern, well-equipped main clinic that is supported by two nearby first-opinion branches.

About the Practice
Our Sherwood clinic has recently been refurbished to support efficient, high-quality veterinary care. Facilities include:
- Three bright and well-equipped consultation rooms
- A modern operating theatre and preparation area
- Dedicated X-ray suite
- Fully equipped dental room with in-house dental X-ray
The practice benefits from a loyal client base, a collaborative clinical team, and strong links with nearby Medivet practices, ensuring continuity of care and shared expertise.
The Role
- This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours over four days, with a flexible weekend rota designed to support work–life balance.
- You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality first-opinion veterinary care while contributing to a supportive, learning-focused clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide excellent clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
- Create clear, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment plans in partnership with pet owners
- Maintain high standards of clinical governance, compliance, and patient safety
- Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff
- Share knowledge and contribute to the development of colleagues within the wider Medivet community
About You
You will be:
- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon and Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS)
- Committed to delivering outstanding patient care and client communication
