About the Opportunity

This is a hands-on role for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and quality workmanship. Based in Essex, you’ll join a specialist automotive business focused on premium vehicle brands, where technical skill and attention to detail truly matter.

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
• 45 hours per week

Your Role

As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of high-performance and luxury vehicles. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults accurately
• Completing scheduled servicing and repair work
• Carrying out engine rebuilds, timing chain replacements, and head gasket repairs
• Testing components and systems to confirm safety and performance
• Performing routine vehicle care such as oil changes and tyre replacement
• Maintaining clear, accurate job records
• Delivering professional, customer-focused service

All work is carried out in line with UK roadworthiness and safety standards

You’ll primarily work on premium and performance brands, including:

• Jaguar Land Rover
• Mercedes-Benz
• BMW
• Audi / Volkswagen
• Porsche

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar mechanic role
• Strong understanding of petrol and diesel engines
• Confident with complex mechanical repairs
• Positive, professional attitude with strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• Formal automotive qualification
• Dealership experience
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics and diagnostics

Licensing & Right to Work

Valid UK driving licence or international driving permit

Support available for licence conversion where required
