About the Opportunity
This is a hands-on role for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and quality workmanship. Based in Essex, you’ll join a specialist automotive business focused on premium vehicle brands, where technical skill and attention to detail truly matter.

- Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- 45 hours per week
- 1-hour lunch break
- Two paid rest breaks (15 minutes morning & afternoon)

Your Role
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of high-performance and luxury vehicles. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults accurately
- Completing scheduled servicing and repair work
- Carrying out engine rebuilds, timing chain replacements, and head gasket repairs
- Testing components and systems to confirm safety and performance
- Performing routine vehicle care such as oil changes and tyre replacement
- Maintaining clear, accurate job records
- Delivering professional, customer-focused service
All work is carried out in line with UK roadworthiness and safety standards

You’ll primarily work on premium and performance brands, including:
- Jaguar Land Rover
- Mercedes-Benz
- BMW
- Audi / Volkswagen
- Porsche
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar mechanic role
- Strong understanding of petrol and diesel engines
- Confident with complex mechanical repairs
- Positive, professional attitude with strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Formal automotive qualification
- Dealership experience
- Knowledge of vehicle electrics and diagnostics
Licensing & Right to Work
Valid UK driving licence or international driving permit
Support available for licence conversion where required
