About the Role
The University of Reading is seeking a Global Engagement Administrator to join its Global Partnerships Office on a permanent basis. This role sits at the heart of the University’s international activity and plays a key part in delivering the ambitions set out in its Strategic Framework for Internationalisation and Global Engagement.
You will support a wide range of global partnership initiatives, helping ensure that international collaborations run smoothly and professionally. From coordinating senior-level visits to supporting overseas travel by academic colleagues, your work will directly contribute to the University’s global presence and reputation.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organised administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international-facing environment.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for global partnership activity
- Coordinate high-profile incoming international visits, meetings, and events
- Support University of Reading academic staff (“flying faculty”) and senior delegations travelling overseas
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and documentation
- Liaise professionally with internal teams and external international partners
- Contribute to the smooth delivery of global engagement projects and initiatives
About You
We are looking for someone who brings attention to detail, confidence, and a collaborative mindset. You will demonstrate:
- Experience with administrative processes and systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience supporting meetings, events, or visits
- Confidence using digital tools and platforms
- Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in an international, higher education, or partnership-focused environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
