Key Responsibilities

As a Salaried GP, you will undertake the full scope of primary care responsibilities, including:

  • Identifying and managing disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Developing individualised care plans in partnership with patients
  • Delivering health promotion, prevention, and screening services
  • Providing counselling and patient education
  • Managing admissions, discharges, and referrals to other services
  • Prescribing safely and effectively in line with local formularies and NICE guidance
  • Producing accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical records
  • Supporting clinical audit, QoF delivery, and governance activities
  • Completing all mandatory and statutory training relevant to the role

About You – Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Full GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Performers List
  • Completion of GP Vocational Training Scheme (VTS)
  • Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation
  • Experience working in UK general practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working independently while contributing to a team
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Current CPR certification
  • Medical defence organisation membership
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience using a range of clinical systems
  • Interest in service development and quality improvement
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing healthcare environment
